Recently, the Filecoin Plus team announced that Origin Storage has been awarded official notary status and will act as a trustee for the Filecoin network, responsible for allocating DataCap (data volume quota caps) to help facilitate legitimate data storage on Filecoin. Each region will have a maximum of 3 notaries, who will be evaluated based on the applicant's long-term relevance to the Filecoin network, industry reputation, diversity and decentralization
